Ambition
We want to give all children the opportunity to develop their creative flair. Through the development of their skills, pupils engage with different mediums through a range of different creative themes.
To support this even further, pupils regularly collaborate with different artists providing fun and memorable learning experiences.
Implementation
The art curriculum focuses on key skills as they progress through the school. These are:
- Fine art; painting and drawing
- Collage and textile
- Printing
- 3D art – sculpting and moulding
- Photography
- Artist study
Through our bespoke curriculum, written by Art specialists from across our Trust, pupils are able to develop their skills, evaluate their work and discuss the work of exceptional artists from across the world and from different eras.
Impact
Our pupils are immersed in an environment which emphasises the importance of art and creativity. It is these experiences and skills which helps give them a creative edge for the future.
